 Zumba® Zumba® Fitness – When participants see a Zumba class in action, they can’t wait to give it a try. Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Zumba Gold®Zumba Gold® – Zumba Gold targets the largest growing segment of the population: baby boomers. It takes the Zumba formula and modifies the moves and pacing to suit the needs of the active older participant, as well as those just starting their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle. What stays the same are all the elements the Zumba Fitness-Party is known for: the zesty Latin music, like salsa, merengue, cumbia and reggaeton; the exhilarating, easy-to-follow moves; and the invigorating, party-like atmosphere. Active older adults want camaraderie, excitement and fitness as a regular part of their weekly schedule. Zumba Gold is the perfect fit. It’s a dance-fitness class that feels friendly, and most of all, fun.

Zumba®Zumbatomic®  –  Designed exclusively for kids (ages 4-12), Zumbatomic classes are rockin’, high-energy fitness-parties packed with specially choreographed, kid-friendly routines and all the music kids love, like hip-hop, reggaeton, cumbia and more. Parents love Zumbatomic because of the effects it has on kids, increasing their focus and self-confidence, boosting metabolism and enhancing coordination. Zumbatomic rounds out family fitness goals by giving parents a great reason to head to the gym – for themselves, for their kids, for a totally fun family experience. 

 

 HOOP DANCE - This unique exercise modality is a great total body cario workout that will tone abdominal muscles and strengthen the core. It connects your mind, body and spirit while working out and having fun.

Hooping is part of the greater spectrum of flow arts, which are playful movement arts involving props that are used to evoke the exploration of dynamic, flowing, and sequential movements.

We use two different sizes of hoops to accomodate the different on and off body movements. All our hoops are hand made by our instructor Diane Gunder and are available for purchase in Five Branches Wellness's Boutique.

 

Pilates is a total body conditioning workout for both men and women that enhances wellness, leaves you feeling refreshed, alert, lighter, longer, leaner, and ready to go after every session.

You will be taken through a series of exercises on the mat with the emphasis on your "core" musculature, which includes stomach, back, buttocks, arms and legs.

The Pilates approach builds strength without stress, offers great flexability, increases your range of motion and builds your concentration. It can reshape your body, enhance posture and help you firm up all over.

 

 

Yoga is a Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practiced for health and relaxation.

Vinyasa Flow - This style allows for a lot of variety, but will almost certainly include sun salutations. Expect movement, not just stretching.

Vinyasa, which means "breath-synchronized movement," is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. This style is sometimes also called flow yoga, because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. The breath becomes an important component because the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale.
Ashtanga (90 min)* - Ashtanga Yoga is a 5,000 year old set sequence of postures designed to bring incredible, strength, flexibility and endurance to the body and a sense of stillness to the mind. This flowing, set, sequence of postures utilizes ujjayi breath and bandhas (energy locks) to increases muscular strength, flexibility, concentration and to deepen one’s connection to Self.
